All lessons consist of one-on-one instructions for 1 hour and 30 minutes with demonstrations.
Here we will go into details about centering, opening the clay, making a cylinder, and shaping the cylinder into a bowl or cup, all while using the least amount of water needed for efficiency.
Here you will learn to hand build by making slabs on the slab roller, or by hand alone. You will learn how to make coil pots in combination with your slabs, and how to construct simple cylinders and boxes, which can enable you to create many different objects using your own imagination.
Learn how to remove excess clay from your work to give it a balanced and finished shape. We will go into details about knowing how to shape your work when you can't see the inside of the shape.
Already an experienced potter, just in need of a good space to work from? You can schedule with me to book open studio space, so you can create with freedom, in peace, surrounded by nature.
Firstly, you will need to have taken at least 3 basic lessons, and equipment training before you can book studio space. you will be shown how to use all of the available equipment, and what to do/not to do to prevent injury.
Otherwise, this is a completely unguided, no instruction opportunity to access the space you need to work on your own personal clay projects, and let your creative mind fly free.
You will have access to all the tools needed to work with clay, a potter’s wheel, plaster wedging table, slab roller and extruder, with several ceramic dyes.
Clay will be available for purchase if you need it, for $2.00/pound.
Book the studio for a full day, or a half day. Get a full day (3 hours) for $60 per day. Book half days (2 hours) for $40. The option to book multiple days is also available, just send me a message!
I also offer the option to book space for up to a full month at a time, as long as workshop and lesson , and personal schedules permit. $160 per month.

My schedule is typically very seasonally based. Being an open air studio with no walls, there are times where it’s too hot or too cold for pottery.
Prime operating months
Mid April through June: Accessibility throughout the day.
July through August: 7 A.M. to 12 P.M. and 7 P.M. to 9 P.M.
As weather conditions change, the times of availability will change and be updated in the calendar. If you have any questions about my current availability, you can always feel free to contact me
Here.
